New brushing technique
Hair waves with the Professional Black Brush
The iconic Termix Professional hairbrush reinvents itself through one of the most elegant basics: black color. Not only does it show a clear evolution of its design, but actually a true revolution through integrating the last generation ionic and ceramic technology. This leading product appears to be the Professional Black hairbrush, proving that technology is indeed the necessary pillar to transforming any hairstyle. Such a traditional exercise as brushing can be completely remodeled by the hand of the French stylist Landry Agres using the new Professional Black. Take a look at the amazing hair waves we’ve been creating together!
Everywhere now, you can find hair and beauty salons, a trend that goes along a constant growing of everyone’s ability to create one’s own hairstyle at home. So why and how should you chose a hairdresser above another (or even above a tutorial)? You’ll find your answer between experience and innovation, for sure.
HOW TO CREATE MESSY WAVES USING THE VERTICAL BRUSHING TECHNIQUE
For that matter, the Milk salon of San Sebastián (Spain) is a perfect match: “Here, we’re gonna realize a unique look that no customer can make at home”, notifies Landry Agres. The artist holds two important cards: the Professional Black hairbrushes and his creativity.
Here, the stylist suggests a vertical brushing that will transform the model’s hair, with trendy messy waves and elegant curtain bangs.
Remove humidity
Once the hair is knots free, it’s time to remove all superficial humidity from it. To do this, Landry Agres uses the Termix Compact Professional Hairdryer 4300 at medium power to avoid a direct and long exposure to high temperature that would damage the hair. Now that it’s dryer, we can divide it all in 4 different strands.
Using the Termix Soft Touch clips and with the helpful Titanium Comb 802 (or using the pick from the Professional Black brush), Landry separates the back part of the head in three, with two strands on the upper side and one on the neck. The bang must remain free for now, to acquire its natural shape.
Let’s start with the new brushing technique
We’ll start the brushing with the lower part of the hair, on the neck area. Landry uses the wide concentrator nozzle of the hairdryer, and focuses on the roots. Then, with the Professional Black hairbrush in a vertical position (perpendicularly to the hair), he gives a half-twist to create a moving wave without giving too much volume to the roots.
He then applies the same move to every strand, apart from the bang, for now. Another major trick relies on the alternative cold and hot air flow while brushing, as the heat is giving shape and the cold is fixing it.
Face frame and open the waves
With the combined action of the brush and the hairdryer, we’ll sharpen the bang, splitting it right in the middle to enforce a straight face line. Then, with cold air, we will ensure the separation for long and give a super trendy curtain bang. As for the stylish final touch, Landry breaks the wave with a boar bristles brush to “avoid any frizz effect” and enlighten the natural glow of the hair. Smart!
Extra information tips
1. This technique reduces the volume on the roots, giving a unique touch that fits any kind of style.
2. Guaranteed messy effect: it will give an impeccable messy wave.
3. Here we maximize the move in the hair and enforce its natural glow, thanks to the ceramic layer on the Professional Black.
4. We say no to the frizz effect! Combining the professional hairdryer and the Professional Black brush, the hair gets naturally smooth.
5. We nurture the hair: although it gets through a strong tension, the sensitive fibers in the Professional Black brush prevent the hair from any damage.
