Extend the life of you tools
Your hairbrush is a trap of germs, dust, conditioner, old hair and oils… As it happens with other beauty products, maintenance and cleaning of hairdressing tools is extremely important if we want them to last longer and prevent diseases. Whether you are a professional hairdresser or not, cleaning your hairbrushes should become a daily gesture.
5 easy steps to clean your brushes properly
1. You should clean your brush regularly, at least once per day.
2. Remove all the hair with a comb or a hairbrush cleaner
3. If you dont have a specific sterilizer, use an antibacteria sprayer or wash it with water and soap.
4. If you are a professional hairdresser, it is recommended to use a previoulsy sterilized and sealed set of hairbrushes for at least every three clients.
5. The handle and the tap must be washed also with a humid cloth.
Note: Cleaning out your round brushes will allow you to get so much more tension which will lead to smoothness and shine
Don’t forget about your hairdryer…
It is also very important to maintain our haridryer’s filter clean (for professional use, it should be cleaned once per day following the manufacturer’s instructions). If the filter is dirty, air doesn’t flow well, so the hairdryer only expels heat without air; the hairbrush gets more heated and bristles may burn.
