Flat Hair?
You’ll love these two brushing techniques without iron
Every morning, the same sad routine. You and your hair woke up with two different conceptions of style. You dreamt of movement, but your hair keeps being desperately flat and smooth. Happily for you, we found a solution to your capillary disagreement! Two brushing techniques without using iron that will completely change your day. And, furthermore, taught by a famous Spanish stylist: Hector Carvajal. Let’s break the hair monotony together!
Prepare your hair for a maximum volume
First of all, let’s clean our hair properly. After you untangled it and washed it, lightly comb it with the paddle brush and a hair dryer for a little blast of air. As Hector Carvajal mentions it, this technique will help you brushing the last humidity drops off your hair without completely drying it yet. We often push this step to the background, when it should be our major weapon against hair sluggishness as it brings it volume right from the roots and generates a new natural movement.
Remember to use the paddle brush from the inside of your hair mass, slightly rotating from the roots to the ends, for a better untangling and protective action. Your hair won’t break and you will notice the difference!
Flip side with hair waves
This first hairstyle can undergo a lot of variations and still stay fancy. That’s what makes it a perfect choice for a bold, personalized hairdo. We’re dealing here with the flip side hair, or side parting. Flipping your hair on one side will give it a lot more of volume with a glimpse of chic, sober touch. Now, Hector Carvajal has a specific waves-adding technique he applies here thanks to the Evolution Basic Termix hairbrush. This is how you get a lifeless, flat hair to shine stronger in just a snap!
Step by step
To achieve that look, you will need: an Evolution Basic hairbrush, hairclips, a carbon comb and a professional hair dryer.
STEP 1
Before your hair is completely dry, separate it in sections, five if you can, so that you will give each one the right movement. The best would be: one at the front, two up and two at the back, but you can of course adapt it to your type and mass of hair.
STEP 2
The second phase starts with the down, back part of the hair, where we work on each strand with the Evolution Basic brush and a professional hair dryer. Remember to keep the temperature low and not to get too close to the strands, not to damage the hair.
STEP 3
Then start rotating your wrist with the Evolution Basic from the roots to the ends in the rest of the strands and until the bangs area. Keep following the same parting line so that your hair will follow the same movement. Once you have brushed it all, use your fingers or a comb (like the carbon comb 825) to slightly break the waves and make them more natural.
STEP 4
Finally use a fixation spray to keep the hair well-shaped and put back the thinner side of hair behind the ear, so that to intensify the flip side effect.
Another ruffled option would be messy and lighter surfer waves. A good compromise between chic and casual volume.
A shaded classic: the middle parting
This is the easiest decision to take when you wake up hesitating on what to do with your hair. The simplest basis, which always rejuvenates your features and give you a nice, good-girly look. That’s why a great lot of celebrities use to shine a wise style, such as Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Jessica Parker or the famous “Mother of dragons” and braids, Emilia Clarke.
This time, Hector Carvajal seeks for the electric Pro Flat brush and its helpful technology which effortless smoothes or curls the hair. This look is very easy to reproduce and perform at home in a snap, with the middle parting advantage of creating an even volume on both sides. On top of that, the professional electric brush cleans and protects the hair, strengthening its natural glow.
Step by step
To create this classic middle parting hairstyle, you will need the electric Pro Flat brush and a carbon comb (the comb size depends on your mass of hair).
STEP 1
Use the carbon comb to divide the hair into, starting from the forehead, to the neck. Pass it over again, insisting on the very roots to mark the line.
STEP 2
Professional tip: you can slightly comb it diagonal so you won’t look too strict.
STEP 3
Pass the pro flat brush through the middle of the hair to the ends, catching thick strands and rotating only at the end of the movement and from the inside of the strand to give it the right curl.
Final effect: a formal, chic and shiny look which perfectly fits your shirt-and-jeans outfit or your fancy red carpet dress.
Enjoy your hairdo!
