How to clean your flat iron
Flat irons must be cleaned if we want to lengthen our styling iron life. Hair products usually build up on the heat plates and a correct cleaning can maintain their effectiveness. To achieve it we must do a little maintenance after every use to avoid any kind of waste.
For a correct maintenance clean the plates and the plate’s sides carefully. Just follow these 3 steps:
- Unplug your flat iron and let it cool down until it is only a bit warm (you must be able to touch it). Dampen a cotton cloth with warmwater; it has to be wet, not dripping.
- Rub the cotton cloth over the plate’s surfaces and remove any If the flat iron has moving plates, focus on the sides. If they are not well cleaned, it can create noise or block their movement.
- If we have already cleaned the plates and there is still some waste on them, use cotton dampen in alcohol and rub again over the plates until the waste has been removed.
A correct maintenance of our styling iron can make a great different in the results of our styling and the life-lasting of our tool.
