Fashion Week Lookbook: Hair trends to come this season

London, Milan, Paris. The Fashion Weeks from the most influential cities in European fashion have left us with lots of style inspiration, and not just for our wardrobes. Here are some of the hair trends we spotted that are sure to give you lots of inspiration this season. Be it for yourself or for your fashionista clients!

MILAN

Armani

The ultra short boy cut

We love this androgynous edgy look. It appeared in different lengths and shapes for the four Fashion Weeks in Europe this Febuary. It is a cut that is well suited for angular faces, as it defines high cheekbones and gives a modern look to the faces that adopt this cut.

Fendi

Vintage fringe art

The 20’s inspired sleek and sculpted fringe is back, and it denotes a wonderfully vintage glamour look! Perfect for eveningwear, this elegant look won’t fail to be present in the next few months.

Dsquared

Chocolate Brown

The stars have already done the color switch (see Kate Bosworth, Dakota Johnson and Cate Blanchett, among others), blonde no longer seems to be the obvious color of choice for high fashion trends. This brown colour is a rich dark chocolate tone with faint golden highlights. It warms up skin tones and makes light coloured eyes pop.

Marni

The long fringe

It is without any doubt 2019’s biggest hair trend. Whether it be super short, long, thin or thick, fringes have been on most (if not all) catwalks for this season. In Milan, we spotted a block-style fringe, thickly cut and straight à la 90s.

Cavalli

The sleek wet look

In Milan, this look is sported with a side parting and some volume. We saw it present at last season’s catwalks and it looks like this hairstyle is here to stay!

LONDRES

Burberry

Fringe Art

It hair-gel looks like hair-gel is going to be every hair fashionista’s most important hair accessory this season! For this fringe hairstyle, a lot of patience and craftsmanship is required. It is to be worn with a lot of confidence and a lot of style creativity! We love it.

Victoria Beckham

Sleek Chic

Victoria Beckham opted for the sleek wet style for her spring-summer catwalk models also this year. It was all combed towards the back and super straight. It gave all the attention to the clothes and striking looks of the models.

Molly Goddard

The platinum-blonde buzz cut

A more punk-inspired style (one of the big trends of the season) has been noticed in the capital of Punk itself. A radical hairstyle that will blend with both the most grungy looks as well as the flirtier, girly looks to give some contrast.

Mary Katrantzou

The colour clouds

These coloured extensions are wonderfully whimsical. It’s a perfect way to go for colour without making a permanent change.

Christopher Kane

The wavy fringe

For those of us that want a fringe but are worried about having to blow-dry it every morning, fear no more. The wavy fringe is in, and not just the fringe. -A natural-looking blow-dry is favored this season, so go with the flow of your waves and dare to get a fringe!

Alexa Chung

The natural golden brown

Brown hair was noticed in warm, natural hues. It is sun-kissed golden and the blow-dry has a natural movement to it.

PARIS

Chanel

Natural strawberry blonde

If we want to keep our locks blonde, while staying on top of hair trends this season, a natural-looking strawberry blonde will be our colour of choice. It compliments all eye colours and gives a beautiful glow to light skin tones.

Miu Miu

The bowl-cut

For a sharp, modern yet classy haircut, we love this revisited bowl-cut. It creates a more dynamic allure and we especially like it for brown hair-colours.

Paco Rabanne

Corn row braids

A style that puts the emphasis on your gaze, and easily maintained on afro hair. We love this look because it gives a sporty, street-style vibe to your look, which works great if you want to bring a little more funk into your style.

Louis Vuitton

Jewel Red

If you want to go for a stronger colour this season, go for a jewel-red. We think that ginger tones with be the biggest haircolour tend this year. It is very bold and feminine, and you can be sure to turn heads with a bold colour like this one.

Balmain

Le sleek wet court

No need for long locks for this hairstyle, as it adapts to all lengths. For Balmain it was worn super straight, with a side parting.

Dries van noten

The edgy boy cut

The boy cut with a twist : scissor snips to give a more angular, blunt finish. The base is a mini fringe, without the sleek structure for an edgier feel.

Alexander Mc Queen

Ethnic plaits

Plaits (or braids) with have a more ethnic or even Nordic feel (see Laegerda from The Vikings series), more texture is created as well as a variety of styles.

Celine

The extra long fringe

The one that is just below the eyebrows, that you can also style with a middle parting, with your fringe on each side, for a more romantic look. This fringe will give structure to your face and more symmetry to oval face shapes.

Ok, now it’s your turn to go for it ! So what will it be for this Spring-Summer?
